Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLYALL SIMPSON October 20, 1926 - November 4, 2015 Lyall Simpson, 89, of Vancouver, passed away peacefully, on Wednesday. Lyall was born in the village of Hawthorne near Ottawa. He is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife of 61 years, Shirley; his son, David; and daughter, Christine. He studied at United Theological College at McGill University and was ordained as a Minister of the United Church of Canada in 1954. Lyall was a United Church Minister for 34 years, serving in Thetford Mines, Que., North Bay, Winnipeg, Nanaimo, Richmond and Vancouver. A Remembrance Service will be held at the Canadian Memorial United Church at 15th and Burrard, Vancouver, on November 18 at 1:00 p.m.
